Turn Content Into Traffic

As the saying goes in the business world “The Customer is The King” I would like to say that in the internet world “Content is The King.”

While almost every website has an objective, to inform or to market products and services, there has got to be “Content” built into a website.

When we meet customers in a brick and mortar location, we have the opportunity to express ourselves, on a person to person basis, and to inform or convince the customer, as to the benefits or need for our product and service. We do our very best to be persuasive by words and gesture, by product display or by demonstration of product features and benefits. Our success or failure is determined by many factors such as our personality, our approach, our friendliness, our ability to do a good job of displaying product features, etc. etc.

In the world of online selling what holds true with a brick and mortar sales presentation also holds true in Internet commerce. I would venture to say, that the abilities to effectively market products and services, go much beyond the brick and mortar situation.

Internet commerce requires, great attention to be paid to many details, to enable us to meet our objectives, whatever these objectives may be. It requires a lot of thought, prior to website design, to accurately gather all the necessary data, to place on the website that can generate an interest in the product or service. Website content and design, must also keep in mind the need, to satisfy the search engines and convince them, of the value of the website content. Content drives search engines to accept a site as a worthy site or to reject it.

People go to search engines to seek out information about products and services and it is fully understandable, that a quality search engine, would like to help patrons with quality content. It is in the search engine’s best interest and it should be same, for the website owner, to give the very best information possible, to search engine visitors.

Just as it is important for a brick and mortar business to create proper décor, lighting and cleanliness in their location, the same holds true, for a website to be successful. It requires a clean, crisp, direct approach, for people to find exactly what they are looking for, without too much of searching. The site should download fast and have easy navigation links. Nobody likes to be kept waiting for service in a brick and mortar store and the same holds true in online marketing. A slow site download is a poor start to doing business on the internet.

Treat your visitors just as you would treat your store visitors or your home guests. The concept is simple and if utilized in website design, should produce the results you seek as a Successful Internet Marketer.

Planetary Base Stations for Space Travel

In the future mankind will need to preposition re-fueling and supply stations on other planets to assist us in our space travel and exploration. Since all Planets are moving all the time in relation to each other it will be necessary to plan in advance our hop, skip and jump exploration missions. Currently the speeds of space exploration are somewhat limited and it takes time to reach destinations. It will be ultra critical to make sure each base station has the supplies necessary to continue the trips and life support systems at those base stations. Pre-packaged base stations will need to be sent, set up robotically and be fully functioning when the astronauts arrive if we are to consider manned space travel throughout the Solar System and beyond.

Since each planet is made up of different accumulations of material on or near their surfaces we will need to use the data we have from probes, satellites and telescopes to determine where these materials, elements and compounds are and how best to collect them. NASA scientists will need to further develop Artificial Intelligent systems and decision matrix scenarios and have written various programs to determine how best to use what is on each planet. Mine those materials and figure out which storage methods to use based on the hostility factors of the planet; lightening storms, solar radiation, temperature, asteroid strikes, tremblers and other possible damaging causes to the systems built. Any base station will need to be safe once the astronauts get there to insure continuation of their lives, but more importantly their mission and exploration data.

Indeed it would seem that depending on where the planet was based on its relationship to its star and the color it gives off from the surrounding light reflections that one might be able to determine what types of elements and compounds were there prior to getting there and there would need to be additional decision matrixes needed to determine the best use of local planetary material to be used for life support, refueling, supplies and oxygen. If we are to use the current decision making programs, then we will need to modify and add criteria as we leap frog to other planets to explore. Think on this.

Stay-At-Home

I am a stay at home mom, taking care of three small children. I want to be able to stay home, but I am being pressured to find a way to make money. Our life is not cheap to provide for, and just my husband’s income is not enough. I want to find a great business opportunity from home, something that would work for me. I can not put my children in to a daycare system, because I have always been devoted to raising them myself. If I could work from home, I would be able to give them what they need and still make the extra money.

My husband has been getting absolutely fed up with his job lately. He works so many hours each week that he never gets any free time to do any of his hobbies. He and I are trying to find ways that we can be together more often, too. His current job is so stressful that it has been hurting our marriage. I want to help him find a good business opportunity from home, so that he can stay here with me and be under less stress. I would be happy to work with him on something, if he needed help.

Competition Heats up on Gaming Laptops

Gaming laptops used to only be attainable from select companies. The notebooks were circulated in small volumes but each laptops had a large profit margin. Despite that everybody most likely wanted one. If you a power user they were simply the best laptops you could obtain. Despite the fact that was true I think the prices were so costly that we would buy laptop computers that were not so powerful instead. As larger companies see the potential in the gaming laptop sector, things seems to have altered.

Competitive pricing strategies are not normal is this sector so tier 1 companies would be scooping a lot of markup. These manufacturers have probably been losing a bit of cash on entry level systems so this should be a welcomed opportunity. In my opinion well known brands can utilize leverage to get prospects to buy laptops despite the price. I have no idea what this will do to littler resellers however it will have a detrimental effect on them. I’m pretty sure that the larger manufacturers will attempt to squeeze the little ones out. Purchasers will also have tons more peace of mind when parting with a big amount of cash.

The notebook computers being launched by brand name companies are all vieing for the best laptop computer crown. In my point of view the unknown system builders must pounce on this if they are to be profitable.I think people that get these types of notebooks like to be able to customise their notebook. These purchasers have the technical knowledge and will analyse which notebook computers are best. Often these sorts of purchasers are to a greater extent partial to the specifications rather than the aesthetics.

All consumers concur that it is a beneficial thing. It will force prices to shrink and make the latest technology cheaper for everybody. I write that quite hesitatingly however as the laptops industry is a really fast changing area. Whether notebook computer prices will drop on the whole is an additional topic however the best laptops are typically expensive. I think we’ll have to see whether this saturation makes any major benefits for us.

Bathroom Mirrors

A room designed for flushing crap and washing away city’s grime must have a mirror to convince you that the person you look at after the scrubbing and brushing is all set for the slog and toil again. From using the dental floss and brushing the teeth to scrubbing, shaving and eyebrow pricking bathroom mirrors are a must have. Ranging from simple shower glass mirror to the clear fogless mirrors they are used for both vanity and decorative purpose in the private and emotional space such as bathroom. With variety of shapes, size, designs and frames they are a basic utility element of custom bathroom accessories for both residential and commercial use.

The mirrors come with special attachments for holding mugs, brushes soap-case etc. framed or unframed to suit your needs. The place where best of ideas take hold and the mime artist in you takes over the utilitarian space as the stage needs to be embellished with a mirror. The mirror certainly has given bathrooms a new visual status.

We go into the bathroom for specific reasons, usually to leave something behind. But we often leave with something unexpected. Bathroom mirror is an extra ordinary reflector for even a forgotten underdog who can treat himself like a king as there is nobody’s except him to judge and critically analyze. An antique mirror, iron framed, standalone or hung on a wall, bathroom mirrors have come a long distance from the Greeks and Romans who used a disk of metal with a highly polished face to admire themselves. Aluminum being resistant to oxidation and offering easy maintenance has become the only name in the industry. Checking your physical appearance and the dark circles to the blemishes and lines on the face, bathroom mirrors are indisputably the best to bring you face to face with yourself.

You Too Can Ski Down Mount Everest

Getting to the summit is optional, getting down is mandatory. - David Breashears-

Extreme Skier Maegan Carney

Extreme skier Maegan Carney had made a bid to be the first woman, and second person to ski down the world’s tallest mountain.

Because of the high winds of Mount Everest at that time, Maegan Carney abandoned her first summit attempt.

To find more information about Maegan’s quest, go to
the mountainzone.com website.

Preparation Is The Secret:

Before you climb a mountain, you need some major preparations:

You definitely need to be physically and emotionally fit.

You should have people in the group who know first aid and of coarse you have a first aid kit.

Make sure you have a schedule set up, because of the dangers involved.

The mountain you’re climbing, how long it should take, how many and who are going, and where will you start your assention.

Bring a camera for breath taking views and to record your trip. A cell phone for emergencies and to call someone to share your excitement when you make it to the top.

If you have the proper climbing gear with you, there’s no worries about staying the night if you get lost.

Also you know you’ll get rescued by morning because the proper people have been notified.

Some Guidelines For Climbing

It’s not a good idea to be flown or driven to altitudes higher than 3000 metres. Begin your walk at below that.

Once over the 3000 metre altitude, travel up in 300 metre increments each day, thats it, no more than that.

Climb up high during the day and sleep at lower altitudes at night.

If high altitude symptoms start to affect you, stop climbing higher. If symptoms worsen, go down right away.

You will need to drink plenty of fluids, hiking dehydrates your body very fast when climbing at high altitudes and this increases as the temperature does.

Do the climb at a slow pace and you’ll enjoy your climb more.

Stay away from alcohol, tobacco and other vices that will play havoc with your body and mind at these high altitudes.

A high-carbohydrate diet will really benefit you here.

In the USA there are many resorts above the 3,000 metre level, meaning you will need to keep a watch out for mountain sickness.

Some Mount Everest Facts:

Historic Mountain Climbing Deaths:

George Mallory and Andrew Irvine on June 6 1924, made an attempt on the summit from which they never returned.

An eyewitness claimed he saw the group reach the summit.

A total of 808 climbers have reached and stood on the summit,
764 men and 44 women. There were 161 that died, 36 on the descent.

More About Mountain Climbing Deaths

In 1965, was the best year for climbing, nine climbers summitted and there were no deaths.

In 1996, the worst single year for deaths, 15 climbers died.

About Mount Everest Itself

The Highest Peak: At 29,035′ (8850m), thats about five miles up, the highest summit in the world, and is close to the cruising altitude of a jet, or it is 23 times the height of the Empire State building.

Above 26,000, the body gets a third of the oxygen available at sea level.

Even after getting acclimated, the body starts to shut down, and if someone stays at that height long enough, they will die.

A lot of the climbers use oxygen here for climbing and sleeping.

The weather on Everest allows for climbing only in May and October between winter snows (December-March) and summer monsoons (June-September).

As you can tell, this article is just giving you the basics of what information you’ll need to find your way to the top of the world’s highest peaks. Amazon.com has a great source of books on this subject.

Motivation - What Is It Really?

Motivation has been a hot topic for as long as most folks can remember. Some define motivation as a drive or a desire. Others define motivation as they work they do. For me, motivation is neither. Motivation is, in fact, the energy that is “underneath” the drive, desire and work. It’s this “energy” that affects the quality of one’s motivation, one’s motives, and the quality of the action-result dynamic that results from motivation. More than that, this energy called motivation results from the degree one is living a life “on purpose” and the degree to which one is in alignment with one’s true and real self, one’s heart.

For me, motivation is an energy…a physical, psychic, emotional and spiritual energy. This energy can be described on one end of a continuum as positive, juicy, strong, energetic, adventurous, exciting, playful, healing, etc., and on the other end as stagnant, blocked, stale, stagnant, depressed, negative, killing, etc.

Motivation is a mind-body dynamic, mostly body-oriented. In my experience, few would say “I think I’m motivated.” Rather, I usually hear: “I feel motivated,” or the converse, “I don’t feel very motivated.”

In addition, the expressions “fire in the belly”, “His/her heart’s not in it.”, “gut check”, and “the mind is willing but the flesh is weak”, as well as many other expressions that center around the belly area (the “energy center” of the body in Eastern traditions), also point to the body as the focal point of motivation (as opposed to the mind), the center of this energy that drives one to actions and supports one to maintain a state of motivation. Motivation, for me, is a “felt sense”.

So, for me, everyone is motivated….perhaps just not in the way another would like that one to be, or even in a way we would choose our self to be.

So,

When I choose to surf the net, instead of focusing on the task at hand, I’m motivated.

When I choose to see employees as functions, as opposed to people, I’m motivated.

When I choose to gossip, bully and be sarcastic in my speech as opposed to speaking respectfully, lovingly and compassionately, I’m motivated.

When I choose to cut corners and allow greed to drive my business behaviors and processes, rather than follow an ethical path, I’m motivated.

When I choose to view conflict and negotiation as win-lose as opposed to win-win, I’m motivated.

When I choose to cheat on my taxes and my diet, I’m motivated.

When I choose to take my paycheck and only give 75% of my self to my work, as opposed to showing up 100%, I’m motivated.

When I choose to lie, cheat and steal as opposed to coming from a place of honesty, integrity and trust, I’m motivated.

When I choose to act like an emotional child rather than manifest emotionally intelligence, I’m motivated.

When I allow my ego to get in the way, and engage in self-defeating behavior, instead of coming from my real and authentic self, I’m motivated.

When I choose to numb out in front of the TV, instead of enthusiastically diving into my tasks, I’m motivated.

When I choose to have an affair as opposed to working on my relationship, I’m motivated.

When I choose to hate, as opposed to love, I’m motivated.

So, everyone is motivated.

Again, for me, the deal is the quality of the energy of the motivation and, even more, what’s “underneath” the quality of that energy.

For me, what drives the quality of the energy I refer to as motivation is: purpose.

For me, purpose is heart-driven, as opposed to being mental-mind-ego driven. Purpose is what gives meaning to our existence. So, again, for me, motivation is related to purpose, and meaning. The difference in purpose as heart driven, and purpose as ego-driven is what determines where folks live, literally and figuratively, in the space between purpose and purposelessness, and meaning and meaninglessness at work, at home and at play.

In much of life, we move from action to result, action to result, action to result. The question is, “What drives my actions? What drives the motivation (energy) of my actions. The direction of one’s life is most often judged on this dynamic and many also judge “success” based on this movement from action to result.

In the larger scheme of things, for me, the energy and quality of the action-result dynamic and the energy and quality with which one relates to “success” is related to whether one is living a life “on purpose” and from where one’s purpose emanates (ego or heart).

In my experience, for folks at work, at home and at play, the degree of “pain and suffering” (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, financial, etc.) one experiences is based on the degree to which one is living out one’s purpose.

So, then, for me, directly related to purpose is what we value…what it is we deem important and the degree to which we assign worth and “value” to what we value.

The Japanese have a decision-making process they refer to as “The Five Whys”. Essentially, when one has to make a decision, one asks “Why”, and to that response, again asks “Why?” five times…the idea being that if one can drill down five levels, then one can be fairly certain the decision has merit, i.e., a sound grounding and foundation and is not, for better words, an emotional, knee-jerk or gut decision.

So, with respect to values, when I work with folks on values, motives, etc., we ask “Why?” five times. In other words, “What does (that value, that action, that decision, etc.) “get” you?” Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?

At the beginning of the work, the answers are often insightful…and usually bring one to a conscious self-awareness as to what’s really, really, really, underneath their thoughts, actions and activities, i.e., their motives.

Most often it’s unconscious ego needs, for example, for control, recognition, and security.

It’s when we take this first look at values that folks then get to the “heart” of the matter and move into the process of discovering their (heart-felt) purpose and then come to see often vast differences between their heart-felt purpose and what has been, to date, an ego-driven desire they “thought” was their purpose.

The underlying, and root cause, questions that ultimately define our motives, then, is “What do I value?” And, then, even more importantly, “From where do I get my values?” And, finally, “Do my values bring me a greater degree of inner peace, harmony, and sense of well-being, than they do pain and suffering?”

As this process continues, folks begin to view and approach life with a difference lens; and their internal map of reality begins to change. This change manifests in how they begin to view their world of work (home and play), what’s really important to their happiness and sense of well-being.

So, as folks take this conscious journey into exploring their motivation, their values, and their purpose, they often discover there’s a vast difference between “striving” and “struggling” as they explore their past and current notions of “motivation” and, relatedly, purpose and meaning of work, of life, etc. They often show up with a new-found “energy” that is positive, juicy, willing, engaging, adventurous, curious, etc.

Assuredly, folks who consciously undertake the requisite deeper purpose and values work, can and will experience challenges, bumps in the road, hurdles to overcome, but now they do so with a sense of striving, with a healthy positivity and energy that, yes, may require sweat, blood and tears, but the energy they expend in the pursuit of their values is positive, disciplined, willful, strong and courageous, exciting and adventurous. They are internally and intrinsically “motivated” and sense an inner peace in their efforts. In this place, there is true purpose and true (not ego-driven) meaning to one’s life.

On the other hand, those who find themselves “struggling”, usually as the result of ego-driven desires and motives, coming from a “faux” purpose, seemingly are always fighting the good fight, often come from a place of resentment, anger, defiance, compliance, guilt, shame, anxiety, and a sense of plodding. They lack a sense of adventure or excitement; often fail at positive self-management, often live with a “low-grade-fever” type of malaise, sadness, depression, hopelessness, frustration, resentment, jealousy, etc. For them, their purpose and the meaning they effort to experience are often mis-guided, most often externally driven (even though they “think” it comes from their own independent thinking…never having taken the time to go deeper inside and think through their so-called purpose). In reality, most often they are actually living someone else’s values (parents, friends, neighbors, reality TV characters…), i.e., someone else’s purpose and so it’s no wonder they seldom experience true happiness in both the short- and long-term..

So, at the end of the day, yes, both groups of people are, in fact, motivated. Both would say they “have values.”

So, concerning their being motivated, and relatedly to purpose and meaning of life, the $10 questions I might pose are:

How might each view their “sense of self?” And from where do they derive their sense of self?

If they made a list of their values and then made another list of their daily do-ings, be-ings and thoughts, would the second list directly reflect the first? If not, what’s underneath the disconnect?

What role might ego play in the dynamics of their relationships, with their own self and then with others at work, at home and at play?

Is there a difference in how one feels about one’s self when they are alone, at four in the morning, in their own company, as opposed to being in their new car, or in their new wardrobe, or in front of their new plasma TV screen, or at work, or being the life of the party, or the standout at the meeting…? And if so, what accounts for the disconnect? What’s the “cake” and what’s the “icing on the cake” and why?

How might each view their world of work and their role in it?

Does work, life and play have meaning? How so?

In terms of motivation, how is your energy and where are you generally on the continuum I mentioned at the start of this article?

and,

Why are you on the planet?

Natural and Organic Summer Skin Products

For those indulging in a spot of sunbathing - whether in the UK, or more likely, on holiday abroad - sun cream is a necessity. There are natural and organic sun lotions available for those who wish to avoid synthetic ingredients, many of which moisturise the skin via aloe vera and protect through vitamin E. Many paramount organic sun lotions also contain caffeine, which helps to firm the skin. In an ideal world we would all be prudent enough to meet the sun whilst already lathered up in enough sun lotion to ensure that we do not get burnt. For many reasons - falling asleep in a lounger, falling asleep on a beech, falling asleep in a field, for example - this does not always happen, and we find ourselves with painful, and downright dangerous, sunburn.

For those like myself who pick up the raw red glow of the crustacean rather than the pleasing golden glow of a Greek god after a session in the sun there are plenty of natural and organic after sun lotions out there. Of course, it is not a good idea to rely on after sun products instead of sun blocks, but using them to restore the skin after occasional sun burn can improve the skin and relieve the pain. Organic after sun products are effectively designed to rehydrate parched skin, so a product with any moisturising oil such as aloe vera, olive oil or sesame seed derived oil (which might appear on the product’s ingredients list as sesamum indicum) will do the job. Those that have some tan might want to look out for products with St Johns Wort and chamomile oil in them, as these will all help calm burnt areas and re-established a uniform tan across the body. In contrast to the growing trend for organic and natural after sun skincare products there has been recent research into corticosteroid creams that suggests that they are ineffective at treating sunburn, even though they are often suggested as good topical lotions for those effected. Corticosteroids, such as hydrocortisone and bethamethasone, are most commonly used by those suffering from eczema, along with some other skin conditions. In a recent study, published in the Archives of Dermatology, researchers treated one sample group of volunteers with corticosteroids creams prior to UV radiation and one sample group with the same creams 6 and 23 hours after exposure. It was found that those volunteers who had the cream applied before exposure suffered less badly from sunburn, whilst those that had the cream applied afterwards - as the creams are intended to be used - had the same level of sunburn as the control group, suggesting that the creams are not effective as after sun products.

How to Buy Online, With Confidence

So, you’ve decided you’re ready to take the leap into buying online. You know there are risks involved in buying online, and you still have questions that need answers. Well, here is your introductory class. Hopefully, we will have answered all the basic questions when you finish reading this article, and you’ll really be ready to actually buy online. Let’s begin, at the beginning.

Your first order of business is to determine who to shop. Shop only the online storefronts that offer secure processing of your order. Secure online processing refers to the safe transmission of your name, address and credit card information. Generally, this means some sort of scrambling of your information. Most consumers concentrate only on the credit card information, however, with your full name and address really good identity thieves can gain access to your credit information. Buying online can be quite a dangerous proposal if the merchant you purchase your items from does not offer a secure purchase sight. Merchants offering a secure purchase sight will display, somewhere on their homepage, a small lock icon. Usually, there will also be a message that says, “This is a secure order sight.” This lets any online buyer know their order and subsequent credit card information will be transmitted via encryption, with security measures in place that work in conjunction with the encryption coding. It is this single issue that prevents many would-be shoppers, with expendable cash, from buying online. They simply are not willing to risk identity theft in order to buy online.

The next order of business is to search for reputable internet storefronts. Just through casual conversation with many of your peers and coworkers you are probably familiar with online merchants that almost everyone has shopped. Use these merchants. More than likely, they have secure sights, with easily accessed customer feedback, vendor ratings, and physical addresses and phone numbers with which you may make contact if necessary. They will have also been around a while. This is as important as the secure order processing feature, since you might be purchasing items that would require customer service in a few months (or years).

The process of buying online can be a very pleasurable experience so long as you do your part to protect your identity, your credit, and your purchase. Some things to remember when buying online concerning the cost of an item and the delivery: shipping and handling will be added to the cost, and if it is a fragile item, make sure the merchant will mark the package accordingly. Packaging for items that might break or be damaged during shipping should be packaged with foam insulation or some type of insulating material. The packages should always be marked with FRAGILE and any special handling instructions noted directly on the package.

Using these guidelines as a basic foundation to buy online will almost certainly insure a pleasant experience, and will provide you, the customer with a purchase that is exactly what you wanted, delivered exactly as you expected, without the possibility of identity theft problems.

POSTER PRINTING IN A DIGITAL REALM

I can still recall my school days- the proms, the concerts and many other activities that teenagers love to do. Events during those days are announced through the use of posters. Poster making contests are also very popular. Students are called to show case their creativity by means of creating a poster. The winning poster will then be placed in an exhibit during the duration of the school event. The traditional way of making posters are applicable to small-sized activities and events like school proms or school concerts.

But how about big-scale advertising endeavors like promoting products and services of companies? Do you think that traditional made posters will be effective in promoting companies’ products and services in a much larger market? The traditional way of making poster may entail personal touch and may exude the creativity of its artist but if a company requires let’s just say 10,000 posters having exactly the same prints and needed within a week, do you think that an artist may be capable of finishing 10,000 posters in 1 week? Preposterous, don’t you think.

But with the use of advance printing technology like digital printing, poster printing by hundreds or even by thousands or more is no longer a case of impossibility. Digital printing has made poster printing easier and faster. Likewise, the created poster posses much vivid colors as well as better quality of prints. There are also no needs for plates as well as big bulky presses that are very complicated to use. Digital printing has also offered a much faster turn-around time when it comes to producing bigger volumes of print outputs. The additional set up cost usually incurred with the use of plates are eliminated thus businesses tend to save more in choosing digital printing for their poster printing needs.

Digital printing is also very affordable compared to the conventional printing methods. Since the digital printing process forego certain processes or methods that usually goes with conventional printing. Like the use of plates, films as well as the great cost that goes with machine set-up. Digital printing technology has also the capacity to incorporate various designs in a single printing job.

Digital printing is also very flexible since it does not set a minimum printing requirement unlike the traditional printing method. Digital printing has also the capacity to print various designs in a single printing project. And to further ensure the quality of your printed posters, always take your printing projects to quality printers which means printers that are known for having a good track record when it comes to poster printing.
